Hello all! I recently been to the Bavarian Bier Café for a friendly get together in Parramatta and also organised my work Christmas lunch at the Crows Nest venue. Both are easy to get to and the food was divine on both occasions.

The Parramatta Bavarian Bier Café venue was a chance to some friends to drink some great beer and eat some lovely food. We had decided to go during Oktoberfest and the ladies were dressed in their Oktoberfest attire.  As we walked inside, the interior looked just like a castle.

We ordered the famous pretzel, freshly baked and I always get the roast pork belly when I come here. It is always so tender and the crackle is amazing! The pork belly is always soft and tender and always a generous serving.

My boyfriend got the tasting platter which had a bit of everything to try.  The tasting platter had the following: Crispy Pork Belly, Haus Sausages, Schnitzel, Sauerkraut, Red Cabbage, Creamy Mash, Granny Smith Apple Compote and Löwenbräu Bier Jus.  This looked amazing, however I could not eat this myself, but everything was delicious.

The other reason I love the Bavarian Bier Café is because when you order the meter long ruler of Schnapps, they make a big scene by ringing a cow bell. They have many flavours to choose from and each one is a different price and alcoholic percentage.

Meter Long Schnapps- 6 of your choice for $42

My second time attending this restaurant was in Crows Nest, where I had booked my Office Christmas lunch. I had ordered from the set menu to cater for a group of 12. I had arranged the “Feast Menu” which was $50 per person and catered for 5 people and more. It was a mixture of everything and it was absolutely delicious.

Bavaria’s Deli Platter: Produced In House, Smoked Over German Birch, German Style Cold Cuts , Smoked And Cured , Ham , Liver Pate , Original Mix, Pickles , Rye Bread , Butter.

Tasting Platter: Crackling Pork Belly , Smoked Sausages , Char Grilled Bratwurst, Roast Pork Knuckle , Crunchy Schnitzel , Creamy Mashed Potatoes,  Sauerkraut , Red Cabbage , Apple Compote , Crispy Onion Rings , Bier Jus.

Dessert:  Whole Giant Apple Strudel, Fresh Out Of The Oven , Sugar Dusted , Vanilla Anglaise.

Overall it was way too much food and would probably feed 5 starving men. The entire course was filling and was so full by the end of the entire meal.

Bavarian Bier is a great place to go for a big feed or for group bookings such as birthdays. My favourite is always the snaps and pork belly. You should definitely try this place if you haven’t yet. A big venue to drink litres of beer and eat fine meat food.

Until Next Time Foodies!
