Rise & Dine - Met Bill Granger :D

Event; Rise and Dine
Place: Harbourside Room, Museum of Contemporary Art

Waking up before my normal work alarms on a Saturday was somewhat hard. I had to keep saying to myself "GET UP!! You're going to be late to see Bill Granger!! " After seeing him and having those eggs, I was totally awake :P

"Rise and Dine" was to promote Jordans, who  are owned by UK family millers - their muesli and clusters are very popular in the UK and was introduced with Australia in Feb 2014.  A showcase of Jordan's products was at the entrance and Mimosas were served - never too early for drinks hehe.

The sweet scent from the fruit platter is a sign of Summer arriving very soon woohoo! But before we began to dig into fruits, Bill Granger was spotted talking outside and I made a beeline towards him with a HUGE grin on my face.

BILL!! (I look so tired..)
He was so down to earth and friendly, had chats and took pics with everyone! He explained that Bill Jordan (the creator of Jordans) is a friend of his so he here to help promote Jordans and also to emphasize to us the importance of having breakfast. Unfortunately 55% of Australians skip breakfast, I must admit that I'd probably skip breaky too if my workplace doesn't allow eating on desk.

Jordans "Bursting with Berries, Crunchy Oat Granola" Pots
I love having yoghurt with something crunchy and Jordans are great because they aren't overly sweet. This is perfect if you don't have time to prep breakfast in the morning, some yoghurt and granola and VOILA breakfast is served!

62C Egg with Citrus Hollandaise, Cured Bacon, Morcilla Braised Beans and
Jordans "Chunky Nut Crispy Oat Cluster" Dukkah served on Brioche
My eyes were literally sparkling and mouth was watering as I saw the wobbly eggs. As you can see on the above egg porn shot, this was perfectly cooked! The citrus hollandaise was appetising. I would have never thought to add clusters into an egg dish but it actually does work. My god, I'm dreaming of those eggs already.

This was a PERFECT way to start the weekend and thank you Sydney for giving us good weather that day. The view from MCA was a total beauty!

Thank you Finbar from AC Agency for the lovely invite. All comments are based on my own opinions.

  11. I think the main area has 2 levels. The top level is used by party planner as a check in area where servers provide hors' dourves and beverages. A bar with a seating area is also available.
