Opening Hours: lunch 11:30 - 2:30; dinner 5:30 - 10:00
Must Try: Popiah and Char Koay Teow

Popiah ) Fresh spring rolls, with yambean, shredded omelette, minced tofu, cucumber, crispy shallots and chilli paste) $8

I fell in love with popiah when I went to SG. I still remember vividly sitting in a food market and having popiah filled with fresh ingredients, packed with flavours for the first time and thought, where has this street food been all my life?

So after seeing IG pics of Hawker's popiah, I knew I had to come. And they do not disappoint, it was almost like the one that I had in SG! The paper thin skin is freshly made (watch them while you wait for a seat) though I wish there was a tad more sauce.

Char Koay Teow $14

CKT arrived to our table shortly after the popiah and the aroma actually stopped me from demolishing the popiah. I loved the wok hey goodness and also the cockles, most places don't have cockles in their CKT. Their chilli was perfect for me, it was spicy and addictive at the same time.

Wat Tan Hor $12
The prawns were juicy but unfortunately the whole dish lacked flavour.

Would definitely come here again just for the popiah and CKT and also to try their Assam Laksa because I've seen too many pics on IG! Do come early, we went at around 7pm on a rainy day and still had to wait for around 10 min.

  3. I'm surprised I never heard of this place till last Wednesday (we went the next day), but I'm glad we just went with it and enjoyed this meal. I definitely will be back to San Francisco restaurants with friends or dates, because it's absolutely worth every dime.
