Dolphin Hotel - Surry Hills

Burrata $10
Dolphin Hotel, has been done up by the brains of Icebergs, Hotel Harry etc and I've been wanting to try this place out since last year!

Mmm cannot flaw a burrata so smooth and creamy inside and the olive oil doused around it was amazing too.

Marinated Sorbello Family Tomatoes with Olives $20
Love the variety of tomatoes in this! Olives and tomatoes are like a match in heaven.

Afghan Bread $6
This was quite oily and a bit too salty but a squeeze of lemon easily fixed this!

Polenta chips $12
Gotta love a place that does good polenta chips! It was perfectly seasoned, crunchy outside and FLUFFFFFLY inside.  The boy attempted to suggest to play jenga but the temptation to dig in was too high to even think about it.

Spaghetti with crab $30
The pasta was cooked al dente but the sauce tasted really fishy to me, I’ve had better crabs before L

Delfino $24
I’m usually a minimal topping pizza kinda girl but my friend had this before and loved it! The seafood toppings weren’t bad but the crust could’ve been in the oven for 30 seconds more.

Wood roasted vegetables $10
YUM! Sweet vegetables with a hint of smoky flavour always steals my heart. Finished this in no time!

I like the funky décor of this place makes me feel like I’m in a garden inside a modern white building. Although the bathroom did shock me a little with its alter ego – random paint splashes everywhere including the toilet seat haha

By the time we finished all the food, our stomachs were way too packed for dessert even though I’ve seen and heard rad reviews about their tiramisu – it still remains on my wish list! Dolphin Hotel is another example of a pub with decent food and atmosphere. Both the service and the ambiance were great, the noise level was good enough to carry conversation. I’ll be back for the tiramisu!
